Dear Community,
I would like to suggest an improvement regarding the Preview tab in Vault. As I see, it’s possible to add comments or marks-up on the dwf file. This seems a great way to collaborate between departments. Especially when a vault user doesn’t have CAD system installed on their computer. I can easily imagine an endorsement from a stakeholder sharing technical feedback with this tool. This can even be complementary into change order Process of the items workflow.
My proposals are:
- To push title comments, users name and timestamp into Vault Properties. So we can find each comment with the Vault search tools.
- To save the image directly without updating the comment. It appears that the owner of the comments cannot export as an image after creating them.
