pdf/file packager utility

We currently have a pdf packager utility add in that we use with our item master in vault. When completing a project, the pdf packager looks at all the files associated with that item, converts any drawings into pdf's, adds in certain ipt files (you can select what you want it to include, if not everything) it reworks how it saves the files, it then packages them up in a nice neat little bundle ready to export to either clients or suppliers. In some instances it is similar to the pack and go feature but it doesn't have all the functionality we need. 

The downside to this is each time we upgrade to the latest version of Autodesk we need to go back to the supplier and ask them to update this utility to work with the latest version of products and it costs thousands to do each time. 

Additionally, because of this our company often find it more cost effective to leave it as long as possible before upgrading to a newer version of Autodesk, so our users are often not benefitting from the latest features and developments.

Can you develop your pack and go feature to include more functionality to achieve the same results so that we do not require additional addins that cost to upgrade each time?

Have you tried using the Job Processor to create the PDFs automatically, then create the Pack and Go with the PDFs in it? Pack and Go is not meant to create or convert files, just package the existing files.

This is a great idea. To achieve this only a file type selection box is needed in the pack and go dialog box. This way the user can set up which file types it wants to export during an pack and go. Now we need to sort by file type and deselect the other rows we do not want to export.
