If you get a request take a look at part number XXXXXXXXX. When you search it up in the SolidWorks Plugin, There is no way to find it in the EBOM Tree. The way people do this is to use the web app, search PN open side task pane, click go to the project and then it pulls the expanded tree up with the part selected. Then you go back to the SolidWorks plugin and manually follow what's in the chrome window.
It would be better to have this same option in the plugin, Related to this when you can visually see the part in the model and click it to highlight it in the solidworks view window it would be so much faster to have a hotkey or button that expands the project ebom, highlights the item and centers it in the plugin side task pane. It would also be nice for that to work the other way to Plugin Tree to SW Tree with another button or something.
Related to this, the above changes would help greatly with this issue but every time you switch from cbom back/ebom to project ebom in the PLM plugin, you have to manually click through the long tree again to get back to the same spot. Can happen repeatedly and often and wastes time. Would be nice for there to be a faster way to get back to where you were like the above suggestions, or it saves you spot in the project bom and extra buttons are added to collapse all/reset so you can easily to back to the highest if that's what you want (rare).
