Hi my friends,

To save RSA and to inform Autodesk that we really love RSA and its the best software ever and you need to keep developing it and improve it more and more.

I am trying to raise our voice and send it to the highest person on Autodesk to let them understand that they have to focus on RSA not to cancel it.

There fore I am trying to collect the voices from our lovely forum. If you are interested in this issue Please send me your feedback and

your contact details to my personal mail (mustafahesenow@gmail.com).

Name , work , your name on RSA forum, and personal mail, and your phone number.

Many thanks for your collaboration.

We love RSA and we will do our best to save it.

Concerning this topic, i want to tell that:

1-

Here in Egypt, some colleges start investing in and teaching RSA to the undergraduate students to take it the standard Analysis and design tool !

I have presented about 8 webinars for the college staff as training for this task !  How to cancel it ! no way !

2-

At USA, i have helped a MSc student at Colorado in his  Thesis research on joints of bridges to model it on RSA and study the results of the adjoining joints (As shown in the attachment pictures) . It is used and has a great users and professionals.

                                                                                                Don't kill it !

Hi guys,

For me, longtime Robot developper, it is nice to see, that there is a quite big group of devoted structural engineers, who appreciate Robot software.

It is of course difficult to say anything with certainty about Robot future as far as its internal development is concerned, but I share your anxiety.

Regardless of how the future story of Robot will go, I'm quite convinced that it will be applied in practise for many years.

I would like to pay your attention to the fact, that Robot has a good and stable API, which practically has not been changed for many years and even users of old versions of Robot can benefit from it.

Robot, like all other programs, has its limitations, but I think that some of them can be solved by external approach.

I have created from scratch quite new software called IgentForm, written in C# technology and extensively profiting from parallel programming techniques, what gives fantastic user experience as far as speed of work is concerned.  It is parametric modeler and is mainly planned as a tool for quick creation and visualisation of structures at the early stage of design, but thanks to its direct connection via API with Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis it can significantly extend its power. The structure is perceived as a set of masses, for which the user can define different parameters - current 3D model is automatically visualised in real time after each change and can be exported to Robot at any time.

In attached file there are a few IgentForm unique functionalities, which could be very helpful for RSA users - moreover, I try to develop this program to solve practical problems, which can accelerate the design and I'm open for any suggestions or needs.

To know more about IgentForm, please visit www.igentform.com website.

Current history of changes can be also tracked on this forum at https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/robot-structural-analysis-forum/igentform-innovative-parametric-model...

So please, consider this alternative which could extend Robot lifetime at reasonable price.

Thank you

DOES ROBOT WILL BE CONTINUE OR NOT????? WHY NO ONE FROM AUTODESK CLARIFY THIS ISSUE...

SO WE KNOW WHAT WILL GOING TO DO, SO CAN START TO LOOK FOR BETTER REPLACEMENT OF IT....

Dear Guys,

I have a strong feeling Robot will not totally be Phase out.

I base this example in the Bentley company a competitors of Autodesk. Previously they inform the user that Staad.pro will be replace to Staad X. Then sooner after they did not, instead they incorporate only the new technology what have in staad X to staad.pro.

I think Autodesk will incorporate the new technology in React Structures to Robot.

That is why no need to worry guys, I will going to continue using Robot and shared it to my friends how good the product is it. Cheerss!!!

Dear Friends,

Do you remember the thread early posted this year in the official AUTODESK blog BIM & beam titled:

Re-engineering structural analysis for the future  ?

At the end of this blog the author ask us to make survey.

From my part I reply  to keep  Developing RSA.

And as it was mentioned in the End of this blog:

"What do you think? Do you agree with me? Does our approach make sense to you?  We’d love to have you share your

feedback with us by taking the short survey below and posting your questions and feedback in the comments. We’ll be

monitoring them and responding. "

What AUTODESK will reply now , what is the result of this survey and what is the final strategy of the structural analysis?

We need your clarifications as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Firstly, I satisfied with tools in Robot. I only experience some issues when modelling big 300.000 finite elements concrete structure. Finite element size 200 x 200 mm. I believe that Robot has to work easier with this size of the structure.
Secondly, I think that for Robot easy to create a link to the Plaxis.
Thank you for your developing the software (RSA).

I hope autodesk will not just rely on the BIM and beam website survey, because that website is general and not a lot of user go into that website. They must consider in this forum which is exclusively for Robot user.

This is the problem with the big companies. When a product is unprofitable, the quality of it does not matter.

At some point we would have to join forces and start building open source alternatives. It may take a long time, but at the end of the day it will cover the needs of the users.
I would be happy to participate in a project of this kind.

It would need intense finite element theory knowledge and plate bending formulas, but would be worth it.

Of course. It will be hard and time demanding. But will be a nice project, and we can learn a lot.

Hi @Anonymous

Autodesk please develop RSA . Its really amazing software.

During my engineering life I had passed through all the software in the market.

I never seen software like Rsa smooth very flexible all in one .

please dont kill it .

Hi @WorldDue

I had used Rsa for so many complicated projects with

more than 160000 nodes and Rsa sucsses to handle it

Rsa very powerful

i never seen software handle heavy projects like RSA.

please dont kill it
