Hi my friends,

To save RSA and to inform Autodesk that we really love RSA and its the best software ever and you need to keep developing it and improve it more and more.

I am trying to raise our voice and send it to the highest person on Autodesk to let them understand that they have to focus on RSA not to cancel it.

There fore I am trying to collect the voices from our lovely forum. If you are interested in this issue Please send me your feedback and

your contact details to my personal mail (mustafahesenow@gmail.com).

Name , work , your name on RSA forum, and personal mail, and your phone number.

Many thanks for your collaboration.

We love RSA and we will do our best to save it.

RSA Power !

Steel Building 3 floors Planted on Concrete substructure 3 basements .

The steel Structure has large Spans up to 18 m at ground floor  to give big space for architect due to the requirement of the end user (showroom)

The original Steel structure was deck slab system with with steel trusses in 1st and 2nd floor . The total weight of steel 1600 tones.

With Value Engineering process on this Structure

I had changed the system to Hollow core slab with steel Structure and concrete topping 75 mm , Changing the structural system of steel building ,

(using Steel columns planted on 18 m trusses on 1st floor to support the 2 floors above + roof and using encased steel columns on column of the ground level to give them the required rigidity to carry the steel trusses)

The value Engineering process has been finish with saving 1150 tones of steel (the total weight of the new steel structure only 450 tones )

And became much more faster due to using of Hollow core slab system with steel .

This great job designed by me and Using RSA  .

Your proposal is the best. Compromise Autodesk- customers !

We all need to consider to use other Autodesk products (as Revit structure, Advance steel, Advance Concrete ...) and they have to invest in Robot development.

Without powerfull Robot I have no will to invest and learn something new....

Do we know if Robot is going to be substituted by React? I bet most of you already saw that new soft from Autodesk which has not been yet published which looks like a revamped Robot? It might appear that the whole "shout" is not necessary 😉 fingers crossed

Hi @tom.krok

I think its hard for software like react to be better than RSA.

By the way its really strange why to have software like react for Autodesk and they already have RSA.

React didn't give anything new needs a lot of development to be same RSA power so for what this time consuming?

React is based on Robot, they have changed the interface a bit and added that Dynamo feature. I had it installed so I know what I am talking about. If React will be after Robot, I do not mind. My concern is only if there will be nothing i.e. no Robot nor anything after.

IMHO I think Autodesk is trying to intregate bim modeling+analysis+design+documentation in one program like SCIA engineer software. Of course, if Autodesk is thinking to do that with Revit and RSA, well it's going to take a long long time to complete it. But i think the idea is great, because revit-rsa link has some erros transfering loads, elements and all that things you already know.

Also Revit is a "heavy" software and it isn't ready for that. Now, All we aggre, Autodesk needs to be honest with its intentions and tell us what is going to happend with RSA. I dont think Autodesk want to lose all that customers and users of the best structural software that ever existed

So, we need to keep going with this, pressing autodesk to give us an answer and supporting RSA to the end

Regards guys,

Cesar

As far as I Know , React was a technical preview listed in the Autodesk Lab.

AUTODESK ended the Labs and focus now on new platform " AUTODESK FORGE" for the third party developers

to Use the AUTODESK products capacity and develop their own softwares.

React Technical preview was ended but the development was still a mystery.

It was a good promotion to update Robot interface (With Ribbon...), integrate more capacity and better link

with AUTODESK products (REVIT, DYNAMO....) and keep all the power of Robot.

I do not know the secret and the real reason to stop such ambitious product which was not so far to be realized!

We need clarifications from AUTODESK supports or leaders of all what have been written in this thread because

we all have fear on the structural design strategy in AUTODESK!

Please give us some hope!
