(API) Spider - the multi-tool with rigid links

Hi,

I would like to present my new addon - the Spider. It will help you to create rigid links for multiple column-slab joints, multiple beam-wall joints, create rigid links along beam length and finally create drop panels and connect them to the slab by rigid links.

This video will give you an understanding about possibilities of the Spider

Please visit http://spider.structuraldesign.pro, fill the form and get your Spider today.

Thanks!

After a long break, the new version is available now in the Autodesk App Store.

Implemented conversion of walls to loads with the possibility to specify the density of the wall material (otherwise the actual density will be used). The user can also specify the load case number and load case name. In the case, if the fields are empty, the default load case with the number 99 and the name “Walls” will be created.

Improved algorithm of rigid links creation along wall edge. Now it is possible to create rigid links also along the bottom edge of the wall, top and bottom edges can be inclined. In addition, the rigid links can be created at the start and at the end of the wall edge.

Implemented conversion of walls to columns. The new column will receive the same wall material. The section label name for columns is based on the following pattern W_wall thickness(mm) X wall length(mm). For example: W_250X4000. However, the prefix (W_ in this case) can be defined by the user.

If selected walls are not processed by the above-specified operations due to the geometrical issues, the wall numbers will be reported in the marked field:

Added rigid panel label creation menu in the dialog Column 2. The new label will inherit all properties from the label selected in the combo box (except specified stiffness modifier Ig).

Please watch this short demonstration video showing how all these new features are working in Spider Pro v.2.0
