Generic model cutting

I am trying to make something like a pyramid corner to fill up the gap (As shown on the right) but extending the extrusions to cut doesn't seem to work. Is there any solutions for this?

The best way i can see this working is creating a rectangle for the corner and then 2 angled void extrusion following the original shape edges so they can be used if the shape adjust to cut from this to create the pyramid shape

Why don't you make the main piece bigger and use void to cut off 3 sides?
