Demolished walls not showing dashed in linked model

I have a linked Revit model with correctly mapped phases and graphic overrides set for demolished work. The demolished walls in the linked model shown up in the correct colour override (orange) but not the correct line style override (dashed) ? Walls created in my model show with both correct colour and line style overrides.PHASES.JPG

You need to make sure that your linked file is linked the host view display settings.

from VV>> revit links>> in front of linked file select by host view.

Check your Phase Filter and Overrides settings

  • Manage ribbon > Phases > Graphics Overrides
    • make sure phase filters including"Demo" have the demolished category set to so Overridden
    • make sure demolished is set to show dashed in the overrides

Check your Link to make sure your "Phase From Link" is set properly

  • select your link
  • Edit type
  • Phase Mappings

And of course make sure your Phase Filter in your view is set to Demo +New or Previous +Demo

I am currently having the same issue. It has to be in the host model for me because we have other host models with the same linked settings.

And the other host models are showing the demo walls correctly.

Try different line patterns for Demolished elements in the Phases Graphic Overrides setup.  A line pattern that is too tight may not work with the linked model, but will work with elements in your (host) model.  In my case, I set the line pattern to Demolished and it resolved the issue.

There are two settings need to be checked:

1. VV-->Revit links;

2.Phase Mapping;

If the phase settings don't also exist in the linked model, they will not display properly.  Make sure you have the same Phase settings in all models.
