CONICAL ROOF

Hi, I am trying to create a 3D steel tank with a conical roof. I have the circular walls created by I can't get the roof to create a cone. Every time I try and apply a slope to it, it slopes the entire roof  from one edge and not the center of it. Thank you. Working in Revit 14 for this project.

create the circular walls

start the roof by footprint command

use the pick line method within the contextual draw panel

specify slope within the options toolbar

select the walls...dashed magenta lines will display with slope designation for each curved line

finish the sketch

I've done that and all it does is create a round sloped roof. It doesn't create a point in the middle that is higher than the edges

if you are viewing your roof in a roof plan, verify your view range has a cut plane that is higher than the roof...

If you want to see the apex of the cone you can use the option : Number of Full Segments from Properties . The Cone will be represented with facets ( aproximating the circle with a Regular Poligon)

a cone with 10x2 = 20 segments

a cone with 20x2 = 40 segments
