Wall explode

Wall explode

In the beginning of an project I want to draw a single wall but furter along a project it's better to have seperate walls (quantities, connections etcetera).

It would be handy if there was an Wall Explode command to seperate wall layers (everyting above core boundary, core boundary and below core boundary) (or a Full Wall Explode (all seperate walls)).

yes that would save a lot of time, it's easier to model multiple wall layers as one single family type and then explode all the layers into separate walls.

Exploding walls can be achieved by enabling parts. Isn't that what you need?

No I would like to explode walls into separate wall types depending on the material of the layer, parts don't have parameters and can't be manipulated as well as the original wall

I think what you need is to model multiple walls. Use the join geometry tool to join them together, so a door or window hosted into any of them, cuts ALL of them.

Its much easier to model them as a single wall with all layers combined and then exploding than to model each individual wall layer as a separate wall and then to join them one single wall run at a time.

@byousouf thats what I do now, but I have to agree with Rakan_Masarwen. Drawing a single wall in the beginning is much easier.
