Viewing objects in 3d for linked revit model

Viewing objects in 3d for linked revit model

Hi, i don't know how many of you have faced this issue but i have faced this in few of the projects i have worked on.

Take a big project for example having some no's of architecture, structure , mep and other revit models linked to 1 base model.

Now if i have to view a particular element in the base model from the linked models, either i have to select the element which pre-exists in my base model and then adjust the 3d view accordingly until i see what i want to see from the linked model or drawing a fake element in my base model close to the element in the linked model and then select that fake element and open 3d and adjust the 3d view accordingly.(which by the way sometimes  creates problems as people forget to delete those fake elements).

It would be much easy and convenient if i could directly select the element or elements in the linked model and see it in 3d instead of using other techniques.

 Regards

Kunal
