Elevators cabs only exist on one floor at a time, but for clarity are typically shown on every level of a building. Currently this requires a 3d cab (for section and 3d views) and a matching detail component cab (for plan views). This requires careful coordination so both have the same dimensions. This also makes it difficult for the walls to be shown with a solid fil in presentation views and for finish floors to display correctly in finish plans.
For the elevator plan view to show on every floor at once, vertical circulation needs a variation of the "Show precut in plan" option that column families have, tested to ensure that the floor of a cab and walls of the cab will display correctly (testing with a column family it still doesn't display as desired).
An even better option, and one with a number of uses throughout the project, would for family states (like cab level) to be controllable per view, allowing a single 3d cab family to be set to the level of each view.
