Usability Suggestion: Stop throwing errors while opening a model - Open model then report errors/warnings

Revit should have an option to suppress or bypass error messages during model opening.   I just opened a major project model and it took quite a while to load and download and every few minutes it stopped to throw about six errors from the following causes:

1. This project needs a coordination review

2.  A link is broken to a rvt or dwg

3.  Do you want us to pull from paperspace in the linked DWG? (screenshot attached)

etc.

These all should be warnings or errors that can be fixed inside of Revit.  These should NOT stop a load.  Go ahead, do the load and then report the problems and let people fix them if they want.

Admittedly these errors are caused by sloppy use of BIM, but eliminating that is hard so I respectfully request this change. 🙂

I agree! Often I start opening a large project and then go get a drink or use the bathroom or something to wait for it to load, only to find out that there was a message I needed to x out of. I end up waiting at my desk anyway.

I agree!  Linked Cad for a site plan is often the cause, and it's annoying to need to acknowledge that extents are greater than Revit likes or that Revit had to truncate some data.  I'd like a simple pop up in front of the fully opened project that lists the errors/issues Revit discovered on opening with links as needed to address them (like for coordination reviews)

Could be done with balloon notifications really i.e. file opens and multiple notifications come up in bottom right corner similar to some aspects of AutoCAD. Could be single non-blocking notification that brings up log of issues. That way user can review or ignore them at their own discretion.

If a link is missing it is probably because I deleted it or moved it. Perhaps if I print it should notify me a link previously used as background is missing (if I ask for that in an option). There would be a sensible reason for that kind of notification.
