Underlay Capabilities for Linked Revit Files

Underlay Capabilities for Linked Revit Files

I would like to have the ability to use underlay with revit linked files as well as have total control over visibility settings with the linked file.

Thanks konghoang for the comment 🙂.. unfortunately it should have been integrated long ago. To be expected from the start.

Incredible that this is still an issue. I need to line columns up with architectural walls and can't see the walls. Would be awesome to have this basic function finally implemented.

honestly, Revit still beats AutoCAD for a lot of things, but the things it fails at are baffling simple to me. Or at least, how could they not seem important enough to implement? Joist systems, underlays, missing snaps, or the fact that I actually need to add a mask myself to the section head bubbles lest they become unreadable when occupying the same space as other geometry.

This is still an issue in 2024,2.

Apart from limited workarounds this issue does need to be addressed!

Just copy the same comment above mine:
"Can't believe this doesn't work on linked revit files!  Whats the point of linked views if it doesn't bring everything across from the link model view?"

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT...

DO SOMETHING URGENT... PLEASE!!! AN UPDATE, DON'T WAIT TILL NEXT VERSION!!
