Type Parameter Value

Type Parameter Value

Whenever you add a type parameter (Boolean = yes/no) to a family type, this parameter of every other family type will be set to true as well. I don't really understand why this works that way. I have a family with 100 family types and every time I add a parameter I have to manually set this parameter to false for all other family types.

In my opinion its best whenever you add a Boolean to a family type, to have it set to true for the current family type only.

Capture.JPGYou can use or() as the formula of that parameter to uncheck the parameter for all types.

Make sure you hit Apply before you delete the formula.

Nice trick...didn't know that. But it's still best to have it set to true for the current family type only, but I'm sure going to use your trick.Smiley Very Happy

and() is another one I am using to get the parameter of all types ticked.

Other options:

  • 1=1 for Checked
  • 1=0 for Unchecked
