I work for a MEP subcontractor and receive Revit models from a general contractor.
A question that has always bugged me.
Why doesn't Revit have the ability to allow me as a subcontractor to use the general contractor's sheets that
are already set up with the view ranges and views that I need??????
I have to have the same views on my sheets as the general contractor because our sets have to be consistent with each other.
As far as view ranges.......I would like the ability to have their same view ranges to start.....but be able to adjust mine to compensate for
piping and duct heights and depths.
Yet through all these years Revit cannot do this??? And still cannot????
This is a very cumbersome thing to have to do over and over and over because it takes too much time when
I could be already setting up duct systems and piping systems.
Why can't Revit do this???
