Most modern fonts have the 1/8s build as characters under Unicode. They would just have to access those characters without having to build them. Unfortunately, being a metric world there is no Unicode standard for the smaller fractions.
The native ability to view numbers as fractions in schedules would enable users to utilize the horsepower unit instead of Jerry rigging a text parameter to look like a power parameter. Displaying 1/6 hp as 0.17 hp is practically useless. A solution would be an added field in the Field Formatting Menu to use fractions as opposed to decimal. This could consequently update the rounding table to give options for fractional rounding.
Not sure if you mean that copy/pasting isn't working for you, but look up "Alt Key Code Chart". Basically 1/4 can be typed using "Alt + 0188", making ¼.
Our contractors, cabinet-makers, craftsmen prefer a stacked fraction, so they don't confuse the similarity in numerical font sizes. Would be great if REVIT could provide this stackable fraction option! Thank you, Paul
Stacked or diagonal fractions are a must !. For my architectural drawings Readability and clarity are important to avoiding mistakes. Even AutoCAD LT can do this!
Revit currently has 1/2, 1/4, 3/4 in their symbols section. That can be added to text annotations by right clicking and adding symbols. These are lovely, but there are not enough options for fraction numbers. We work in the imperial system so quickly readable fractions are critical.
We need diagonally stacked fractions as shown above for all fraction possibilities down to 32nds.
