Show pointcloud in family editor / load context in family editor

Let us: select a wall, roof etc. -> right click -> create / edit family here -> select family template -> door family -> family editor opens with context

The family editor should now load the selected wall type as the family host in the editor and allow us to VG-toggle pointclouds (and possibly other elements and linked files from the main model) to use as reference when creating or editing the family. Maybe give us a 3D section box to control the extents of context we want to see.

In heritage- or even just as-built-modeling, we often need to create families based off of pointcloud measurements.
Currently we need to write down the dimensions of doors and windows measured in the main model and the create a door / window family based off of these hand-noted measurements.

To add onto this: changing the format that Revit uses or adding another format could help with this. I'm specifically thinking about the open source EPT format which supports very large pointclouds, LODs, streaming, compression etc.

A lot of times you also get pointcloud data in e57 or LAZ and have to convert it to RCP for which you need Recap Pro. Without a simple converter built into Revit, this raises the barrier of entry for use of pointcloud data and many firms just don't want to deal with the hassle.
