Show object above Cut Plan

Please allow us to show some objects above cut planes.  I know there's a bunch of work arounds around this, but this should be an option for each item  Maybe allow an instance and/or type visibility parameter so the family /object can show above the cut plane.

 

It's the lack of little features like this that make Revit difficult to use.

Plan Region allows you to show objects at a different cut plane from the plan (ie Level 0, 1, 2...) view. You will need to play around with floor plan view depths mixed & matched with plan regions as per your requirement.

In Screen shot below

Cut Plane is 1500 with the top view range at 1600

(Same thing can be accomplished though by having the CP at 1500 but top view range at 2500, eliminating need for a plan region.)

The Plan Region Cut Plane is at 2500 with the top view range at 2600
