Selectable Undo command (Ctrl+Z)

It would be great to have some deleted items selectable for "undo".

For instance you would have an ability to resurrect an annotation or an element that was deleted by accident 20+ steps back.

So you mean undo just the tag selection (or whatever element) that happened 20 steps ago without undoing everything else that happened after that right?

I agree this would be quite useful.

Currently the only way to get around this is to undo back to that point, copy the element to clipboard (ctrl c), then redo forward to the present and paste the element back in (ctrl v) or use the paste aligned to same place.
