Imagine you have a floor plan-like view that is not showing sections or views. You have no idea whether this is because they were hidden, filtered or reside in an undisplayed workset. You happen to know it is your work-in-progress-section#12 that you need to move 12 units to the right. So you search the project browser for section#12, find it, close the search window (if you are below 2024) and find you can highlight or even open it - only selecting is no option.
I propose to allow to select whatever view you find in the browser. After all you can also put elements into worksets that are turned off, place columns out of sight or lay piping even it is not shown in your current view.
