I wish it were that simple, but ctrl-f doesn't work in this case. Of course it works in the project browser, but not in the insert views, as specified in the post.
I've personally spent COUNTLESS HOURS looking for the right views to insert into our projects. This one simple feature would save a lot of time and money for my company and I.
Please add the ability to search in the 'Insert Views from File' dialog box (using Ctrl+F or a search bar) or to filter the views in the dialog box. Most of our drafting views have useful keywords in the view name. So some sort of search/filter function would save a lot of time.
It would also be more helpful if the view and sheet numbers were included in the list (for the views).
For our drafting view manager file there are thousands of views to sift through.
...more helpful if the view and sheet numbers were included in the list...
I just came across the issue yesterday where the view names didn't match the view & sheet numbers (included in the markup). I had to go and open the original file in another Revit to figure out what the actual names were - sure, that was something that will have to get fixed eventually anyway, but when working on a deadline I just want to get the thing done as quickly as possible (fixes done later).
