There are a lot of good ideas for and possible improvements that are long overdue for schedules. I'm going to propose an easy and helpful first step.
A very common issue I run into is on multi-column schedules; keeping the columns separated how we want as the schedule is added to and modified live. A good example is a sheet index which since it doesn't fit as one column I've broken into 3. I manually drag column 1 to be all the site sheets; column 2 to be all the architectural; and column 3 is left with the MEP. Any (and EVERY) time a sheet is added or removed that alignment and look is thrown off as it all had to be set completely manually. [It would be great if Revit built some intelligence into this; but that's for later]
As part of a schedule's sorting and grouping scheme(s) we have the ability to add a "blank line" to various groups as we see fit to distinguish and highlight large sections/groups. If they added a second check box for "apply column break" it would be a very simple and hopefully easy to implement way of giving us better control of the above.
