Model Patterns can be rotated, why not Drafting? We've got a lot of drafted details that would look a lot nicer if the patterns would line up with the elements.
Like others here, I have been searching for work-arounds to this issue for years and nothing works. If you could create a model pattern with parallel line spacing of <1/2" this wouldn't be as big of an issue, but since you can't, there are numerous detail conditions that you are screwed on. Being forced to sacrifice the graphics on basic construction detailing is absurd and should have been fixed 10+ years ago. While I understand the complexities that arise from implementing something like this to a computational software, this problem isn't going to go away. Autodesk - Please re-open this item and prioritize it. We are moving into a world where drafters have never known anything but computer drafting and some never learned AutoCAD. The drafting disconnect is already concerning and Revit should be focused on fixing the basics before developing tools that 99% of Users do not need.
