Revit Version Parameter Type

Revit Version Parameter Type

My idea is for a parameter in title blocks that could read the version number of a project file and then that could be used in a label in the title block.  My starting view for our projects is a sheet that has lots of info.  Doesn't show up well in the thumbnails of the home page though.  But if I had a parameter that could read the version number of the project as last saved, I could put that into a largish label and put that there so that it could be seen.  That way when a project is updated, it would update that graphic as well.

A smaller version of the label could be used on the normal title blocks so that when a sheet was printed to pdf, printed to paper, or even exported to a .dwg file, we could tell what version of Revit it came from.

That parameter should be a Project Information hard-core OOTB parameter called something like "Authoring Software" (Autodesk Revit), "Authoring Software Version" (2026) and "Authoring Software Patch" (4.2) and should be mappead nativly to IFC (witch should be already, so it's just not visible to us in the interface...).

PS: we would add the separator "." between version and patch parameter in case we want that that way. Give full flexibility because people will want different things all the time for diferent purposes.
