Not sure if many of us like the idea of being able to rotate a section view (at 90 degree interval), so that whichever side you click on, it will rotate either clockwise or counterclockwise.
Imagine looking North, by clicking first on the section symbol, and choosing either left or right side of the symbol, you can now view either the east or the west side (at 90 degree intervals), so that you can quickly see both sides of the section symbol. Ideally, you'd always be looking from the head to the tail (left to right view), but that may be each user's preference.
