Revit for Mac

Revit for Mac

*Note: This request has been addressed by our Product Teams in this Revit Public Roadmap FAQ.

Please start producing REVIT for Mac. It is a must have application for architecture students and the mac industry occupies a huge part of the computer industry. We really need the software.

Can Autodesk make a Revit version for Mac and Apple computers? Why isn't that still available?

It's one thing to make a native Revit app for Macintosh, but it needs to support the M Series platform and just not Intel (or it will be outdated on arrival). Since Apple will be transitioning their last piece of computer hardware (Mac Pro) this year, support for only Intel would be pointless (except for those who have older machines) Having to rely on Parallels Desktop for daily work is extremely painful. There are workarounds, it's slow and just not the best user experience.

Autodesk - please take all of this into consideration when developing a native Revit app for Macintosh, and unleash the raw power of these amazing M Series chip sets!

Or being able to use it on an ipad somehow would change the use of revit for both students like myself and and those in the industry meaning people can work straight on site

Autodesk, please know this. I have 5 Revit licenses; if you don't have the Mac version soon, I will take the five licenses somewhere else.

As a foundation student, I haven't started learning any software in my course. However, this does not mean it can stop me from learning by myself. Autodesk! I need Revit for my Mac!!!! Thank you.

I hope Autodesk will move towards creating an equal version of Revit for Mac. Given that a significant number of Americans and a substantial portion of the creative industry utilize Apple products, it seems like a missed opportunity for Autodesk to not tap into this market. There is the opportunity to create a version of Revit that can run on the new high powered Macs and be easily shared/viewed by clients on their iPhones. Integrating Revit into the IOS system could expand the possibilities of what designers could do with Revit.

Of course die-hard Revit users won't care if Revit remains limited to Windows, but a lot of people will. I've seen high end architecture firms that run on inferior products like Sketchup largely because it allows them to stay on their familiar IOS system. For myself, I will be watching to see how well ArchiCAD and other competitors can utilize apple's newest products.

Autodesk has pretty definitively said they aren't planning on doing this at any point in the near future. Despite that, there is already an extensive thread for this.

If you work in AEC, you have two choices. Work with the industry standard software on machines that work just fine. Or buy overpriced machines that look nice and settle for sub-par software. Firms working on Sketchup just because they want to work on Macs have some pretty questionable business decision-making skills.

At WWDC2023 Apple announced the Game Porting Toolkit which translates DirectX 12 to Metal 3. Can AutoDesk finally start the process of bringing Revit to Mac natively?

I am a Costarrican architect and a University Professor at Fidelitas,

here the domain of Revit is clear, but I have 30 years of working

on a Mac, Modeling with Form Z, which become one of those victims in the

market because of the BIM technology, and there is no way I can take Archicad

that runs on a Mac, because the market belongs to Revit, so yes, Revit running

properly on a Mac is mandatory. Gretting to everybody

Definitely need Revit for Mac, then I can uninstall Parallels once and for all.

Revit & Revit LT for MacOS & iPadOS…time listen to your loyal customers; this is the natural evolution of an obvious profitable niche
