Revision Clouds with colors

Revision Clouds with colors

Enable different revision sequences to be identified using different colours.

Useful for identifying when each change was made.

Its interesting because it is possible to add a subcategory for Revision Clouds and change the line type, but there is no where to actually apply the secondary type so you are left with only being able to use the default type.

It would be nice to be able to set a linetype in the Revisions dialogue so all revisions of that number are the same or have it just set to <default> and then you can change it in the view by selecting the line itself.

If the linetype is set in the Revision dialogue then it will be greyed out if you select the cloud in a view or sheet.

We should be able to change the color of the clouds for each revision number. Also, consider tag color, too. Here's a dynamo solution that uses a brute-force override to accomplish it, but it's not really a viable solution due to speed and the fact you have to run it every time you add a bubble. https://www.bimpure.com/blog/revit-dynamo-tutorial-colored-revision-clouds

Why colored clouds are helpful:

Our architectural office prints in color as standard. Color print pricing is the same as black-and-white in our office. Finally, contractors will appreciate looking for the color of a revision, rather than fishing through a bunch of black-and-white clouds to find it's number tag.

Along the same lines, half-toning the previously issued revision clouds might help communicate the changes better.

and don't forget - diferent sub-categories could mean diferent layer exports in dwg export, as an added bonus

Maybe even add the option to set up a filter for revision clouds based on the "mark" parameter, or something else.
