I understand the historical approach to making foundation walls go down from your main level, but it is really difficult to figure out what base and top constraint to put when it is done differently than every other wall. I typically have basement levels, so I want to use that level as my base constraint, and level 1 as my top constraint- as one would think is a pretty basic operation. The fact that I can't change my foundation walls to "height" instead of "depth" is infuriating, and I end up changing my wall function to something other than "foundation".
I would just love to keep the function correct, but also maneuver my wall how I want to. Just because it is a foundation wall doesn't mean it shouldn't have base and top constraints to lock to.
After looking through the forums, this has been a question discussed for 15 years.. It's definitely time to rethink it.
