Remove Element from Design Option Set

Remove Element from Design Option Set

It's a simple, small idea, but useful I think. We currently have a designated button that takes an element from the Main Model and adds it to a Design Option Set ("Add to Set"). But there's no method of removing an element from a set and putting back in only the Main Model besides deleting it and copy/pasting, which doesn't feel as legitimate as adding it does. It may work for components like furniture, but when it comes to walls and such, you have to verify that the heights are correct and that it's attached to the appropriate elements around it.

Just add another button: "Remove from Set".

copying and pasting back to the main model also removes phasing, which is a pain, especially in complex projects.

Yeah, copy/pasting should not be the 'preferred' workflow - that's a non-starter in any project beyond schematic. There are forum posts addressing/requesting this simple thing going as far back as 2007...

Stumbled of the fact that elements cannot easily be removed from Design Options recently, too. The cut/paste workaround gave us a good headache.

This is simply missing, and should be implemented! Thanks!

Agreed, so tired of these common sense functions being absent from Autodesk products.

Just started working with design options. First thought: this will make so many things easier! Second thought: why can't I remove an item from a set once I've put it in there?

Autodesk, please add a "remove from set" option!

Are they serious?  How can they possible release this without the option to remove?  They have such a strangle hold on the software monopoly they simple just don't care.  'Give them slop, they'll eat it.'

Absolutely crazy that this function is still not available.

Fully agree. WHO creates these functions? Certainly not users of Revit. Autodesk, please hire seasoned Revit users to review every function in your products.

Oh, great.
6 years later. This is still not fixed.
Why do we even pay the exorbitant subscription fees?

Agree, but don't you just go into the set and cut it out?
