railings control the distance

I want the railings to be able to control the distance, so that the columns are spaced 10cm apart and have crossbars. I tried turning the columns into two vertical poles but it didn’t work. I want to know the solution? Can I modify it from the program side?

Agreed, they need to update how horizontal rails are treated in the railings so that you can have a non-continuous rail with a segment length and spacing between (essentially a dash-space).
