Railings need A LOTof improvements. Because there are so many parts to a railing family it takes too much time to duplicate a railing family if all you want is a different material. I counted 8 different families I need to duplicate just to create a family with a different material. There should some kind of option to have one material parameter in the main railing family that automatically links to all the other railing parts material parameter so this is not necessary.
I am OK with this as long as there could also be a way to say, everything is NOT one material. So we'd have the option to make everything different materials still if wanted. Steel posts and balusters and wooden top rail and handrail for instance.
