Quick Schedule from Displayed or Selected objects only

Quick Schedule from Displayed or Selected objects only

We need a Quick Schedule tool. It is often difficult and time consuming  to create multiple filters to reach out only the few elements we need a schedule for.

It would be a lot easier (and quicker!!) to first filter out/hide elements in current view, then create a quick schedule only for the displayed / selected elements. Then we could simplify the schedule by hiding parameters we don't need.

Sometimes filters may be tricky, especially on large projects. I find it much simpler to create a 3D Section Box, then apply hiding (filter out) elements on that until i have only the objects-of-interest displayed. Still i can't do a quick schedule on that. Revit asks me for categories, types, parameters, etc. I have to choose from a long list of names (all categories, all parameters ,etc).

On a quick schedule, the (unavailable) parameters are already filtered out. Unavailable categories won't display. A very much shorter list of  (available) parameters to further filter out (if necessary).

Quick Schedules on Views would quantify Design Options much quicker. Would be able to see what Design Option is more expensive. Give the client a clear picture of terms and costs.

@GHASEM_ARIYANI:You're exactly right. I am shocked that 2 years later (since your post) Autodesk hasn't (yet) considered implementing such simple idea. Revit development team(s) seems to be living in a different universe altogether.

According to my data, your idea will not be accepted throughout your life (statistically) 🙂

Gathering support forever! 😈

@Nurlan-A.: Your statistics are incredibly correct. That's exactly how much work Autodesk employees are doing in helping their clients. Graitec and Sofistik are doing a much better work. Their progress from year to year is tremendous.

Revit Structure is the greatest lie at Autodesk. It's completely useless. Advance Concrete and Advance Steel are much better. You can get practical results with those. With Revit Structure : nada.

P.S. Go to Revit Structure forum and search for the famous Heathrow Terminal incident.
