Purge Unused Family Parameters

A 'Purge Unused Parameters' button would be very useful.

Might be useful to some but not to others...there are lots of times we model things which has various parameters (whether in project environment or family editor), later to be edited or modified due to demand or design amendment. However; most of the times we tend to keep the previous parameters although they are not used but yet they are not useless (at least not until the close out phase)

Purge Unused is already catastrophic the way it is now and  if or when used mistakenly or without awareness ... personally I would rather not extend that to parameters

What would be more useful for a start is a Purge option for unused 

- linestyles and Patterns

- CAD imports (embeded/exploded ones)

Agree on the line styles and CADImport purging. Rather than purge unused family parameters, what about "hide" unused parameters?

There is a button like that already on Manage tab.  Purge unused.  Of course a seletion is in order because I don't alwasy want all to be purged.

How would you define what is used and what isn't?  For example we often have yes/no parameters like 'Kickplate' for doors that are simply there to signify that the door requires a kickplate - it's not connected to anything else or to any dimensions - so would this be used or unused?

Thanks for your submission and votes on this idea!  We are evaluating where this request falls into our roadmap and will provide an update when we have made a decision.

Thanks again for your submission, for voting and thanks to everyone for the comments as well.  We spoke to many customers about this idea at our Inside the Factor Live events and after consideration, believe that there are many cases where unused parameters are not simply unused, but not yet filled in.  Based on that feedback, we have decided not to add this to our roadmap and to archive this idea.  Please feel free to resubmit the idea with additional use cases or information and we will be happy to consider it again.

One idea is to allow for selecting multiple parameters at the same time. This way, not only we could delete those with only one clic, but also when rearranging the order (I often do this) we can make it in bulk instead of one by one, a very (very) time consuming task. 

I bet that this improvement no one will complain, expect to hear the opposite. Now if this is easy to make, I hope so.
