Supposably you can move those things to an workset and have that workset being only editable by a user (not more than one though). So, not pratical at all. I wonder what the recover would be if we forgot that password... Would we need to create a new central file and lose versioning and element ID tracking in ACC? Could we hit recover password if we were the HUB ou Project administrator and get a nice email in return?
I really like this idea, but there would have to be a way that an admin could release (un-password protect) all pinned objects made by a certain user. Since Revit keeps track of who does what, the issue then becomes how would Revit know who the admin is? I'm thinking perhaps the new Autodesk Assistant will be able to assist with that?
Without those safeguards, I envision the possibility of a disgruntled employee going into a model and pinning and password protecting everything in a model before storming out. That would be devastating to a project!
