There should be a 'pencil' symbol next to material parameters that is permanently visible for editing. Why is the '3 dots' icon hidden until you click the cell?? I have never understood this.
The new 'Associate Global Parameters' button next to these material parameters in type and instance properties doesn't help the situation either and I am seeing this is causing a bit of confusion for some new users. The associate global parameters button is permanent and you can see it, so naturally, you click on it.
