Multiple Titleblocks / pages per sheet

Multiple Titleblocks / pages per sheet

Please develop a way to set up AND print multiple TItleblocks / pages from the same sheet.

This is a feature that could be very useful for both storyboard designs as well as extremely large schedules. The concept is similar to Adobe Illustrator (and Photoshop's) Artboards.

Scenario 1 - BOQ that keeps growing. The only way to split it over several pages is to duplicate the schedule, filter only the content for each page and paste each copy on a different sheet. Now you have oodles of little schedules to manage, instead of 1 schedule on 1 sheet (with multiple pages) to publish.

Scenario 2 - You have a storyboard that you're planning on printing from multiple A1 sheets. They form a whole concept, but currently in Revit, you can't see them all together.

A better solution would be to add the ability to split schedules across multiple sheets (for Scenario 1) - see also the link to a great workaround. Just use Dependent Views for Scenario 2. Otherwise you'd have funny stuff happening when Titleblocks overlap, etc.

My workaround to print schedule over multiple sheets 🙂

Set printer paper placement Center and Zoom 100 %

Split schedule into 'strips' aligned horizontally for this exercise

For each sheet

- place the title block in the required place (to print that 'strip' of schedule)

- create a detail line on either side of the title block so that the title block is in the centre of the two endpoints

- note the detail lines will need to extend beyond the schedule 'strips'

Revit parameters now define the extent of the view by the two detail lines

Hint if you adjust the lines on each view it will change the centre point for printing
