Move Align tool options back into the Options Bar and out of the contextual ribbon tab

In Revit 2022.1, the Align tool had its options moved from the Options Bar to a contextual ribbon tab.  Please revert this change.

When I'm editing the profile of something (a filled region, a floor, etc), I'll often use mouse-button tools, especially the "draw line" buttons on the toolbar (because the "draw model line" shortcut doesn't work when sketching a profile, for some reason) and the "finalize sketch" checkmark button.  When I use the Align tool, I can no longer move straight from the Align tool to drawing a line or finalizing a sketch, because the contextual ribbon tab replaces the profile editing tab.  I have to press "escape" to quit the Align tool to restore the profile editing ribbon.

This change to the Align tool hurt my workflow.  Please revert.

Looks like you don't need the options bar, but you need all editing tools available in a single place when editing a sketch. Which is pretty obvious, when you think about it.

The options bar is a remnant of pre-Ribbon-Revit and should have been disposed of a long time ago to regain screen real estate....

If the options bar is going to remain, it should be used for something, such as the align options. I too find this super annoying and unnecessary.

It sounds like the Revit team is trying to phase out the options bar.  This change isn't fully complete in the 2025 release; the options bar is still present, but it's just... empty more often.

Status changed to: Archived

As of Revit 2027, all tools have been removed from the Options Bar.
