A common complaint among clients working on Revit Projects in Forma is that when opening up a Cloud or Workshared Cloud Model in Revit from the Docs dialog, the highest level of all folders that users have access to are displayed at the same level, regardless of the nested folder structure.
This can be a little confusing, and I think the better solution is to provide the same visibility within Revit and the Desktop Connector that is available in the Web Viewer.
Currently, the only solution is to provide View Only permissions at the Project Files level to show the folder structure, which is not ideal.
Folders would be greyed out similarly to the web viewer with the ability to expand if you have access to a subfolder.
This is the setting within Forma Data Management:
Show folder path (web only)
Enable project members to see the full folder path for folders on web even if they don't have view permission, as long as they have permissions for at least one subfolder.
