Makeup-Air or Outside-Air as a System Classification for ducts

Makeup-Air or Outside-Air as a System Classification for ducts

Duct connectors in Revit Families only include Supply, Return, and Exhaust air.  There should be options for either "Makeup-Air" or "Outside-Air" as a System Classification for ducts.

HVAC systems and equipment often pull air from the outside of a building, and this type of air system is shouldn't be stuck using "other"; having a specific System Classification for Outside Air would help clarify the connections' intended use for end-users.

Add FRESH AIR in System classification when we create a new HVAC family.

Agree, Revit is missing one classification. (We usually call it  Outdoor air)

It would be good if Outdoor Air could mix with Return Air and Supply Air system if connected so the flow would total up without having to create families to connect between systems.

Outside air (or Fresh air)
= Air coming directly from outside and is not conditioned.

= Input of ventilation unit

Supply air
= Air that has been conditioned (heating, cooling, humidification, ...)
=
 Output of ventilation unit

System Classification "Outside air" is missing!

Agreed and voted. Here is a semi-related topic that would help round this out.

Does anyone know if this has been addressed?

As per above we need 4 duct system classifications: Supply Air, Fresh Air, Return/Extract Air and Exhaust Air.

I can see some messages are back from year 2017. Can Autodesk representative react to this post?
