Line slice

Add an option to choose between current single (dot) or line while using slice command. Line option would mean that you will have option to draw a line and every object under line would be cut.

I like the idea if it also allows you to select which categories are going to be cut, before drawing the cutting line.

you could visually isolate what needs to be cut, not sure how would that be possible in simple way to choose categories and if you would need to do every time you use command slice.

Are you referring to the split element tool or the trim/extend tools?

Split, to be more clear I uploaded picture. In this case I had to click 4 times and with possible Line Slice I would draw line in 2 clicks. Imagine how much time it would save in shafts and technical rooms, even if it would be possible to do line slice in 3D views! 😲

So you would like an option for the split tool to allow you to draw a line and all intersecting items/lines/objects would be split at that line instead of having to click directly on each item/line/object you want to split.

This would be useful if it could just be toggled by holding ctrl or shift while using the split tool.
