Inverted section box - Isometric sections

Inverted section box - Isometric sections

I don't know how to do this, so I thought I'd include it as an idea.

To create a sectioned isometric, it would be very easy to use an inverted section box.

Normally, the section box hides everything outside the box.
It would be as easy as adding an instance parameter to hide what's inside instead.

@arq_42  take a look at this idea: Non-rectangular Scope Box - autodesk

Is confusing though,  as some are referring to scope box and others a 3D section box.

Well, I'd already seen that idea (and actually voted for it).

But that idea refers to making non-rectangular scope boxes, which would still working the same as actual section and scope boxes: showing what's inside the scope box. (Very useful for showing part of an L-shaped floor plan, for example.)

What I'm trying to do is hide what's inside the box (scope or section box), as seen in the image I posted in the first post.

@wr.marshall and @kimberly_fuhrman-jones, this does bring up an interesting point/question/conundrum...  If a related idea is posted in a comment to a different idea, and now that we can vote on comments... should that idea that was raised in the comment be it's own idea standing on it's own or will the development team view it potentially as it's own separate, but related idea, or given enough votes or feasibility implement that part of the idea that was put into the comments...

If that is the case, perhaps a lot of related ideas should all be put together into one idea with each sub idea as a comment and we can all vote for those as desired.

This is hurting my brain now.

@Ric_Weber let's not complicate things any more than they already are. 🤣

@kimberly_fuhrman-jones

beeeeeep....  We're sorry, but Ric's brain has stepped out for the day.  Please try back again later and perhaps his brain will be functional again.... thank you.
