Keyboard taps instead of mouse clicks

Coming from an AutoCAD background and transitioning into Revit has left me completely frustrated with the productivity reduction due to the heavy mouse click dependant user interface in Revit. A classic example of this is doing a simple fillet to detailed linework. Firstly I can action a keyboard shortcut to get to a detail line, but from then on it is just painful (simply not being able to keyboard shortcut to the fillet command is a pain) I then need to select the fillet tool, then I need to select that I want to fillet by a set radius, then I need to click into the radius area and set the radius, then select the lines. This is so frustrating and something that seems so simple to fix.

I agree that the old AutoCAD method of filleting radii was faster. You can get similar close though since you can hotkey the arc tool. I have it set to 'FA' and you can find it under your keyboard shortcuts as 'fillet arc'.

I do wish you could quick toggle the radius option with 'R' or something while in that mode. In fact, quick toggles while being in editing modes for all options (multiple alignment please!!!) would be nice.

@chauh  Cheers for that. I have actually tried that before without success, but I will give it another shot now. 

As to your second point, 100% agree. Being able to hotkey to the enter the radius would be a great improvement across all commands.

@chauh  I have tried what you mentioned to no avail. When working in a drafting view FF or the one I assigned FA don't work. In fact when I do them nothing happens. If you could shed any light it would be appreciated.

Have you tried to hold Ctrl?

I may be misreading what you're hoping for here but there is already a toggle for aligning multiple elements to a single reference. Holding Ctrl will toggle the below Tickbox on or off depending on what you have it set to. I have just started the align command and this tickbox has appeared. You ought to check this area in all commands for stuff you might be missing.

@KotairaKeila the suggestion wasn't around where the tool is, it was about how you can action it without clicking your mouse to place the radius,,,, at the moment based on your picutre, you would need to start the line command which you can quick key, but then getting to the radius button is a mouse click, then getting to the radius check box is another mouse click, then clicking into the radius distance is another. We should be able to quick key the whole process.

Being an old school AutoCAD nut, I basically did everything through sinle key shortcuts which allows your cursor to stay where you need to use it, without having to constantly move it away to select icons etc.  It is a noticable time difference.

Yep, I understand you. It's a little uncomfortable, at the beginning, not having an "enter" to end editing the magenta sketch lines, rather than having to click in the "Finish Edit" (the bigger green check icon) or having a "Close" command to close the line sequence and so on... It would be better if we do really have an option to customize the draw options.

Revit sometimes is very similar to AutoCAD (in modify tools, as you said), but maybe this occurs because originally, Revit was developed by another company  and then bought by Autodesk.
