Currently, Revit allows you to create duplicate assemblies with the same name for standard ductwork and pipework. In fact, it has a feature that will auto name them the same if they have the same geometry...
I believe there should be a toggle to allow duplicates of the same assemblies with the same name which will lead to the ability to properly schedule and control our prefabricated elements.
Working for a company that is trying to emphasize repeatability and pre-fabrication. I do not understand why this feature is not extended to Revit Fabrication Parts.
