In the family editor, when you nest a family you can create different types and link its parameters through to parameters in the parent family.
However, having painstakingly linked all the parameters you need to be editable by users, if you duplicate the type to create a variation all of those links will be lost.
Making a simple change so that duplicated types retain their parameter associations would make creating complex families much more simple, and avoid large amounts of repetitive linking of parameters.
Also, it'd be great if you had the ability to auto-link any parameters in a nested family/type which already exist in the parent family (by name).
