Really need a lot of development all Schedules tables.
Virtually nothing has been developed in 15 years.
We need to be able to perform more detailed computations of the objects. That is not so generic.
Imagine having to calculate the Painting Area on the wall, that simple task becomes impossible since Revit returns only the Area of the main faces of the wall. It does not consider the Gaps, even if the embankments have been configured. I think this is a serious computing problem.
The wall measures 6 mts x 3 mts and has a hole of 1mt x 1mt. Therefore the Area of each side is 17 m2.
Revit returns 34 m2 of white plaster as a result of the computation. But it is not correct because it does not take into account the lateral faces of the wall or the faces of the opening.
Basic but dangerous!
It should be able to compute objects as pure geometry, as does Archicad. Where it allows to calculate the area of each face of the geometry.
and it returns a much more exact value because it calculates the side faces as well.
The area actually painting or coating the outer surface of the wall is 37.96 m2.
Revit computing needs to be improved urgently.
