'Hidden elements in this view' icon

'There are hidden elements in this view' icon or symbol is absolutely necessary for any view. So many times newbies are using this 'Hide element in view' feature instead of hiding entire category.

I personally used this many times, before I got used with View Categories. The problem is there are no visual clues about the hidden elements and subcontractors have no clue about hidden existing elements. A hidden element may intersect and cut a new element and you scratch your head long time before checking for hidden elements. If you put an existing element on the wrong Phase is even worse, Reveal hidden Elements won't help.

I think this is a good idea. But how is this to be implemented when Revit out of the box has routinely hidden categories in all views such as base points or room fills and crosses? Maybe the lamp icon needs an overhaul to show there are hidden elements that were disguised by a user. Also the pink mode offers no help as to why an element is hidden. Hovering over elements could show info like this cat is off by design, this element was actively hidden by someone, this element is picked by a filter. Ctrl-Clicking these mouse-overs would bring up the appropriate user interface. Or maybe a new use for the triple-click introduced in R26 to copy xref paths?

Will this feature be discipline savvy and consider other disciplines irrelevant to notify?

Since the elements hidden by Element are the most pertinent to find, how about a number on the lightbulb icon (perhaps the number is enlarged on mouse over?) that reflects the number of items hidden by Element.
