Halftone Existing

Halftone Existing

We have this issue where we want all of our construction phases to show up (Show Complete), but want all of the original, untouched, Existing to remain items to be halftone without applying a filter.  Some construction sheets do show the items broken out into phases, but others are fine being shown all together.

You can do this using a phase filter with an associated phase override, unless you already have another override set for existing items.

@purvigirwin This would be true if you only have existing and new construction phases.  How I understand the idea is in a project with multiple phases, (say existing, phase 1, phase 2 and phase 3) the requester would like to see only the items that are created in the existing phase that aren't demolished as halftone.  They want to see phases 1, 2 & 3 as new construction, which isn't possible.  Phase created and phase demolished aren't even filter options, so to make the change by filter you'd have to manually add information to every item, which doesn't make sense if the information is already there.

@jkidder, in that case I think that solution is to add phase and workset to filters, which I'm pretty sure is already an idea on this website. That would solve a lot of problems!

Thanks for taking the time to submit your idea. Unfortunately, this idea did not get the support of the community over the last 6 months and as such we will not be pursuing it at this time. Please feel free to rework (titles and clear descriptions are really important) and resubmit this one down the road.
