Support Game Controller Navigation. Not exactly a novel idea, but I would compare it to building a car without a steering wheel. Even if you are tech savvy, navigating through a model with a keyboard and a mouse is painful. An important aspect of BIM is being able to navigate through the design in 3D. Unfortunately, most engineers and even architects do not explore the design through the 3D environment, especially the more senior engineers, who have the technical expertise to identify conflicts that would easily be identified while viewing the design in 3D. We have taken Revit and turned it into an expensive CAD program. When coordinating with my engineer I will navigate through the model identifying clear issues with the design. The only reason these items are not being discovered is because is awkward navigate through the model.
