Flattened curved elevations / sections

When elevated, curved surfaces do not show the full length of the wall.  Moreover, graphics become skewed.  We would like to be able to wrap an elevation tight to the curvature of the wall so that the elevation appears to be a flattened out curve.  You could do this by offsetting a line from the curved wall and picking that line as the elevation path.

Is it already possible to do it in recent revit versions? It'll be also a great improvement for architectural design. Thanks!

Please include a tool to cut sections along a Curved Path or curved alignment in revit. Currently revit has an ability to cut sections either Straight or Jogged Path, But for things like curved bridges, arc-shaped buildings there is no way to get a section along the curved path. Its a long pending issue.

This capability would be incredibly useful. We are designing curved ICF walls for a project and our structural engineer would love to be able to create some proper framing elevations without resorting to intensive workarounds.

It would be extremely valuable if Revit supported curved (developed) sections, instead of only straight section cut planes.

In infrastructure projects such as:

• Curved bridges

• Road alignments

• Tunnel linings

we often need developed sections following a horizontal curve or alignment (similar to chainage-based sections).

Currently, Revit only allows straight section cuts. For curved infrastructure elements, this forces users to:

• Create multiple tangent sections

• Use 3D workarounds

• Export to Civil 3D or other software

• Or draft sections manually

This limitation makes Revit less suitable for infrastructure workflows and reduces integration with alignment-based design.

Allowing users to create a section that follows a selected curve or model line (alignment-based section) would significantly improve Revit’s capability for bridge, tunnel, and transportation projects.

Hello, it would be great to have options by sections and views to create "rolled" View for example because of curved Wall (shopping mall interiors, more organical Architecture), and Option to change the Angle of section for example in case of addjoining buildings, where the join ist angular.
